“What happened to you all?” Tiran asked us, and it took me a moment to respond as I had been watching emotions flicker through his eyes, making them shimmer with more silver than normal.

“That’s a long story,” Averey said.

I moved in Averey’s arms, and he let me go. A yawn took over as I walked toward the bed and sat down. The talk with Tiran and Averey had pulled all my energy, and I lay down on the bed. My head again on Zeus’s chest as I listened to how the others explained what had happened after we came out of the rift. Even if I wanted to pitch in, their voices lulled me to sleep.

I woke up when the sunlight filtered through the windows. It still had the orange glow of morning. I stretched and yawned. The soft breathing of the others made me stop for a moment and just listen to them.

“Morning, love,” Cian said, and I sat up a little finding him next to Rayan, who was still asleep. Cian smiled at me, and I smiled back.

“You were the first, bastard. Or did you already forget?” I gasped again and placed my hand on my chest. “Was I that easy to forget?” I pitched my voice higher, adding some drama to it all and tried not to grin.

“How could I forget, sweetheart.” Averey turned on his side and leaned on his arm looking at me. “Your moans were so sweet and your pussy so tight, I will never forget how you taste.” I felt the blush creep from my toes up to my face as he laughed with a low chuckle at me. I felt the sound resonated in my core.

“And that’s my cue to leave,” Zeus growled to us, and I snickered as the big cat got up from the ground and walked toward the door. He looked at the doorknob and back to us. “I’m a Xanca,” he said.

“And you’re magic,” I said as I watched him.

“Yes, and we didn’t have doors with round knobs to open them,” he answered, and I scooted down the bed. I walked over to him and opened the door, bowing deeply, I let him through.

“Don’t go too far, your catness!” I chuckled at him, and he just purred and sauntered off. “Oh, and don’t scare the protectors,” I yelled after him as I remembered that there were a bunch of them around the house. I closed the door and walked toward my men on the bed, I said
